1 Resorts, Photos, and Rumors

On Thursday, my daughter, granddaughter, and I met my brother at a conference center he and his family were staying at about 2.5 hours from where we live. We had such a blast. It is a huge place that is basically a resort area. It has reportedly been a hideout for some of the gangsters from the Chicago area.

This is the supposed inn the gangsters stayed in.



The resort is on a huge lake so boats and scenery is all around you.





Then we were taken on a drive around the 1,100 acre property. This is the oldest structure on the property. Apparently a couple raised 7 children here. They used two different homes to do so.



I had to take this one through the window. The building was locked up and we couldn't get inside.



It was really cool seeing the hand hewn logs that made up someone's home.



I love seeing old buildings and I think I may have to go back to this particular place to get photos. There was just too much to see.
