Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I know you are all waiting to get going for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. This week was more fun in the photo finding opportunities. Hope you enjoy!

Clouds

I love how the clouds reflect off the water in this shot.

This one is natural. I didn't do any enhancements at all.

Yes, I know she's old. She's 17 and in car years that is bad. And since I live in the Upper Midwest, she's a little rusty. On the other side of that, the interior is still almost perfect. But she just keeps starting and going to down the road. Every. Single. Time. (Sh! Don't jinx it for me).

And just for good measure I'm throwing in another one.

It's Frackin' Friday!

Yes, it’s that time again. It’s time for Dazee’s rant and vent time on her blog, Crazy Daze and Night Dreams. She is so gracious to give us a platform that allows us to share the frustrations of the week. I know I’m ready to share mine. What about you?

I have a problem with people who don’t look at themselves very honestly. After my daughter died, I went into such a depression I started having anxiety attacks and couldn’t deal with much. It didn’t matter that I needed help and should have been under a doctor’s care, I was still told that I didn’t do enough and that I needed to put everyone else before me. That’s what got me in the position I was in. I didn’t deal with my own emotions until it was too late.

The bottom line was, I was on my own emotionally. It did make the journey a little harder and longer, but I did figure out what I needed in order to crawl out of that hole. There was so much self examination in the process that I realized I was a different person than I had been before. Not just because of the loss of a child, but because I had to change things about me in order to leave that place.

What I’ve discovered is that others who should have done the same thing did not. And they expect me to be the same person I was before. That is not going to happen. I can’t go back there. The result is that I’ve moved past the point of caring what others think about me.

Don’t expect me to care what you think about me if you don’t go through the same process I did. I deserve not to be demeaned because you didn’t examine and change yourself in the process. I’m not dealing with it anymore.

I Spy - Stuffed Animals

Photobucket

Well I still seem to be on hold for the confirmation of hiring or not hiring. I'm not sure when I will know. And it's making me absolutely nuts. Okay, so I didn't have far to go on that one. But I need this job!!! I can't stress that point enough.

In the meantime, Dazee, at Crazy Daze and Night Dreams, and I are having some fun with our little photo hop. I really dare you to join in. You never know what your photos will show. You just might be a photo star. Now come on! Link up with us and share! Next week's categories are Old and Your Choice.

Stuffed Animals

I don't have any heads on the wall so I had to use the artificial kind. These were Amanda's. She loved all the colors and the soft and fuzzy hair.

And we finally have blooms!!!

I'm so happy cause you all know I love writing and reading. Okay so I'm behind in the blog reading. School and life takes over too often for me. So please welcome her and have some fun.

So how about we get things started? Are you ready for some blog hopping fun? I know I am. My co-conductor, The Survival Mama, and I are ready to get the train rolling down the rails. All aboard!

Yeah I Know

It’s been talked to death. I’m going to comment on the Trayvon Martin shooting. And I only have a few things to say.

Point number 1: His father lived in the gated community.

Point number 2: He had no record.

Point number 3: Zimmerman had domestic abuse charges and he
attacked an FBI agent.

Point number 4: Zimmerman was told to stop following him.

So how do you justify continuing to follow someone after a 911 operator to stop? I don’t know. I would stop. After all, I’m not a trained police officer. AND NEITHER IS GEORGE ZIMMERMAN!

No Scavenger Hunt For Me!

Sorry people! I just didn't find any inspiration with the categories this week. Maybe next week. So I'll just share a couple photos I've taken recently.

He was out for a stroll and I made sure he didn't stay in the road. We don't want him run over now do we?

Photobucket

Some places are still trying to find their green.

Photobucket

Some are finding a little green.

Photobucket

And, finally, I found more green. Way back in the woods.

It's Frackin' Friday!

You so know you want to vent. I know I'm not alone and Dazee, at Crazy Daze and Night Dreams, has given us the perfect venue. So write your post, grab the button, and link on up! I know I need it this week.

I’ve never been known as someone who lets human rights violations or violators go by without at least some comment about it. So here goes!

Why is it so hard to let others live their lives the way they choose? Who am I to tell others they can’t be who they are and openly live that way?

Anyone who thinks that forcing others to live a certain way is the “right” thing to do is absolutely wrong. We have certain laws that may be biblically based but they have to be observed in order to now trample anyone’s basic human rights.

Murder - Thou shalt not kill. If you take my life, you deprive me of the right to live. A human rights no no!

Theft – Thou shalt not steal. Again, you have violated my right to own property. Another no no!

Does anyone get what I’m talking about? I know you do. If a person is gay, that’s okay. If a person is transgender, that’s okay. Why, you ask?

Because it is not our place to force our opinions on anyone who is not the same as us. This world would be such a boring place if we were all exactly alike. Thank goodness for our differences.

Remember, if you have a right to your opinion, I have a right to mine.

I Spy - Junk

Photobucket

Did everyone have a good week? Mine was better than last but still have things going on. Had an interview today that felt like it went well, but with this economy who knows what will happen? I'll have to let you know.

In the meantime, Dazee, at Crazy Daze and Night Dreams, and I are having some fun with our little photo hop. I really dare you to join in. You never know what your photos will show. You just might be a photo star. Now come on! Link up with us and share! Next week's categories are Stuffed Animals and Your Choice.

Junk

Now keep in mind that I've been sorting and boxing so my junk drawers don't look quite as cluttered as they were. This was the best I could do.

Photobucket

And this one was a stretch, but it was a leftover flower that never got enough snow to knock it down. It could be considered junk, right?

Photobucket

Your Choice

I've been enjoying the colors that are starting to pop up. I thought I would share.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I know you are all waiting to get going for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. This week was more fun in the photo finding opportunities. Hope you enjoy!

Vintage

I recently started collecting vintage cameras. Of course the one in the middle is actually mine and I do still take photos with it.

Word or Quote

The quote is on the headstone of a little girl I know.

Photobucket

Nature's Own

I got up to a really cool fog coming in and set out to capture it.

Photobucket

People

This was taken last fall. We have a farmer's market that lasts until Oktoberfest. I love it!

Photobucket

Photographer's Choice

I was taking some photos earlier in the week with the focus on color and since I love nature's colors, I was able to find some trees that provided the color through the buds they now hold.

It's Frackin' Friday Again!

You so know you want to vent. I know I'm not alone and Dazee, at Crazy Daze and Night Dreams, has given us the perfect venue. So write your post, grab the button, and link on up! I know I need it this week.

Headaches are becoming the norm for me right now. It has to do with the allergies. Nothing died this winter. We've had ridiculously high temps for winter. There's already open water and that normally doesn't happen this early. Needless to say, it's just not fun.

I'm tired of living with all this tension. It feels like it's never going to stop. I don't want to be here, but have no where to go and I'm not going to walk away just to live in my car. I'm not worthless and I refuse to be told I am. I hope this ends soon. Someone needs to step up and be an adult about everything.

Okay, that's all I've got for now. What do you have to say?

I Spy - Color(s)

Photobucket

How is everyone this week? I've had a rough one. And, eventually, I'll tell you all about it. In the meantime, Dazee, at Crazy Daze and Night Dreams, and I are having some fun with our little photo hop. I really dare you to join in. You never know what your photos will show. You just might be a photo star. Now come on! Link up with us and share!

Color(s)

With this week's category, I thought I would be able to find more outside color since our temps have been rather mild all winter. I have green in my front yard for crying out loud. Most of the time at this time of year you can't even see the yard let alone see any color. So I headed out to my favorite park and this is what I found. This has four basic colors, brown, red, a little blue, and green.

Photobucket

And then I found buds on the trees. And they are trying to gain ground on the blooms.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Your Choice

The little dude felt so bad all he wanted was to lay down most of the day. So his daddy, my son, obliged him and they both fell asleep.

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

I know you are all waiting to get going for Ashley's Scavenger Hunt Sunday. I had such a problem with finding the time this week. There are some developments at my house and I just haven't had time to go out and get photos this week. So the last two are archived photos. I'm sorry but life can get in the way sometimes.

Water

We have had almost no real winter this year. Although we normally don't have a lot of open water at this time of the year, it's everywhere this year. And because we haven't had a lot of precipitation, we also have plenty of mud.

Photobucket

Light

Yes, you can see green in the background. Again, not much winter. I loved how the light came through the trees and lit up this log.

Photobucket

Chocolate

Who doesn't love peanut M & M's?

Photobucket

Animal

I took this last spring. He was so intent on gathering grass he let me walk up to him.

Photobucket

Crowded

This was taken last Oktoberfest. It gets elbow to elbow during the parade. The city just announced they may not have the parades they normally have because of cost. WOW!!!

Photobucket
