Not Much to Say

I know. I’ve been absent from the blogging world except for the normal hops. That means basically three posts a week. I’ve been rather overwhelmed with school, finances, work, and personal things that seem to get bigger and bigger all the time. And I really shouldn’t complain about life. I’ve had the “big” things happen to me. One in particular about destroyed me so I know how bad life can be. So I will try to do better and find those funny and weird things to write about like I used to.

Work has been interesting to say the least. For some reason, and I don’t know what, I have not been fired. Now, technically, they could because I haven’t been doing so well with sales. (You see, I’m more about customer service than getting someone to buy something they don’t need.) They seem to be dragging their feet a bit. I suspect they are more afraid of the SEC than of my lack of sales. Service levels are an ever present concern at call centers across the states.

Here’s what I find most curious; the curiosity of others. Have you ever noticed how nosy your neighbors or coworkers are? What makes them think they have the right to stick their noses in where they don’t belong? Nothing can be said that someone doesn’t pick up part of the story and get it twisted very strangely by the time it comes back to you. Well, I work with some of the best snoops in the business.

There are two people on my team at work who just love to know what’s going on with everyone else all the time. You cannot have a conversation with anyone else around them because they start asking questions like they have the right to know. Who gave them that right? Who are they to think they need to know everything about everyone? Snoops!!! I can definitely do without them.

And do you know what’s so funny about the previous paragraph? WE ALL DO THE SAME THING! Yes, we read our favorite blogs to keep up with each other’s lives. And most of the time, we say things on here we would never say to those we see every day. Why is that, you ask?

Because other people’s lives make us forget about our own for a short time and give us a break from the monotony or drama we have. The old saying is “the grass is always greener on the other side”. In the case of gossip, it truly is. We all do this because we need an outlet that doesn’t affect our own lives.

So have fun my bloggy buddies. I know I intend to.
