Writer's Block and the Consequences

I’m beginning to think this is a serious disease that hits me when I don’t have much of a life outside of the three things that take my entire days away. You know, work, school, and internship. The last week and a half had the stomach flu and respiratory infection thrown in. It wasn’t too pleasant, but I survived.

I don’t know how many of you have worked in a call center before, but I have to tell you it is not just emotionally draining, it is physically draining. Most of us are on a phone all day and the vast majority of calls deal with complaints. By the end of your day, you are, most likely, mentally spent from trying to appease and keep customers. In addition, you are affected physically. Putting all your energy into trying to solve the customer’s issues causes most of us to be exhausted by the time we clock out. I think all this is affecting my writing.

Trying to think of anything to say that doesn’t pertain to work is exhausting in itself. So this is all I have. I shared the photo of the hair color change last weekend. What I didn’t do was share a photo with the “highlights” I attempted to do myself. I did not do it correctly as I am not a specialist in hair coloring. I’m not saying it’s bad, I’m saying it could have been better. This isn’t the best photo, but it does show the difference in coloring from the first post I made. Maybe I’ll be better at it next time. Right…………..

See, I’ve got nothing so you get my hair. What a post!

I have worked in a couple call centers and it sometimes begins to be too much .. example : when iysis was in the hospital i had to work to maintain our roof over our heads. i got a personal call telling me she took a turn for the worse. then proceeded by that a customer calling about how she couldnt pay her bill. i literally cursed her out and ended the call in front of my supervisor. He would of fired me except i quit. Hope things get better hun

  2. I don't know whats worse a call center or dealing with shitty customers in person...either way no fucking fun at all!

    I always do my own hair too and most of the time I do fuck it up, but nobody ever knows that cause I still rock the shit out it!

  3. Wow, kudo's to you working in a call center. I would probably pull my hair out, and start packing a gun to work to shoot the phone.

  4. Call centers SUCK! Try being the person who they call to cancel and you're supposed to try and make them keep it even when you know the product is a POS. Fun...Not!

    Sorry tiny rant there. But your hair looks very nice. :)
