Me? Sarcastic? Yeah Baby!

People who don’t know me very well do not understand my sarcastic nature. I feel like putting an ad on every post I make on Facebook. Then I may need to put one on the blogs. Some of the comments I get make me think I’m not as funny as I think I am. That cannot be the case so it must be one of two things.

One problem is that sarcasm does not come across on the internet as well as in person. But that is confusing to me because the comments I get from all my wonderful followers are telling me I’m very funny. So they must like my sarcasm, at least to a degree. I also IM with my daughter all the time and I get at least 50 LOLs from her a day. Ok, maybe not 50, but damn close.

The other possibility is simple and I’m going with that one. It’s everyone else’s perceptions. That’s it! It has to be. It can’t be me. I leave sarcastic comments on Facebook and I get concerned replies about my state of mind. LOL is all I can say. Take me or leave me, this is who I am.

  1. I would so love a sarcastic font! That and a dark, dry humor font. I tend to have a dark very dry sense of humor. Top that off with my sarcastic nature, and I think sometimes people dont get it and I come across as rude.

  2. or perhaps you are just a pretentious snob who "thinks" she's funny and the fact that you are such a bad-ass makes people scared to tell you you're really not?

  6. Christy, good sarcasm is a way of life not to be missed! The best sarcastic remark is the one that takes a couple of seconds to sink in. Then watch the expression change and the light bulb come on! Yeah! That's what I mean!!
