Since this is a new blog, I thought it required a moment to introduce me to my readers. I know some of my posts will sound very opinionated but there really a good reason for it. It all goes back to my childhood and my sense of fairness in a world that does not have much of that. This is my way of trying to give a different perspective on every day issues.

I grew up with a grandfather, two uncles, and my father all in the ministry. I was born in 1962 during the height of the Cold War and spent my younger years being exposed to Vietnam and the Flower Generation of the 1960’s and early 1970’s. I have a strong sense of right and wrong, fair and unfair. The combination of that upbringing has made me a rather vocal supporter of human rights. Although I was raised in the church, I do not believe in discrimination which I feel the church does regularly.

Life is not fair as the realist in me knows all too well. I have lost a child to cancer which solidified that belief. I do not have everything I wanted as a young woman. Although some of those dreams changed, not all were washed away by life’s disappointments.

I currently have two other blogs. One is a photo blog that I love because it gives me the chance to share some of those photos with others. There are no rants on that blog because that is not the focus. My third blog is my family blog. I get to post pictures of my kids and grandkids and some of the things we do. Both of those blogs are not just for me, but for others which makes them not the right forum for my ideas and ideals. I have posted those buttons for you to follow if you want to see those blogs. Feel free to comment there too.

I do wish for comments as I love a great debate. Challenge me with other points of view and I will respond. Probably with a blog post. Welcome to my ramblings.
